Mrs. Meloni is one of our elementary teachers.
Mary Meloni is a retired educator from USD 259. She has taught a total of 36 years in various capacities. She holds a Master of Science degree from Florida State University earned in 1990, has been certified in four states, and currently holds an endorsement as a highly certified teacher for grades K – 6th in the state of Kansas. In addition to degrees, she has done coursework totaling 20 hours since her last degree in order to keep current in the field of education. She has taught in 4 states for significant blocks of time, but has spent the past 13 years teaching or substituting in mostly long term positions in USD 259.
Mrs. Meloni has taught every grade level K – 5, but is especially fond of the primary grades and has had particular success with struggling students. She substituted for a classroom at Life Prep last winter and has been eager to take a permanent position there.
Mrs. Meloni is married to Mr. Alberto Meloni, also a teacher at Life Prep for the past 9 years.
